CFP: “Publishing in Libraries” Conference, 3/20/2015

Call for Posters

You are invited to propose a poster for this one-day conference on Friday, March 20, 2015 at the College at Brockport. This program will convene a community of scholars from all SUNY campuses in a dialogue which increases awareness of:

library publishing projects currently underway at SUNY campuses

broader ongoing scholarly conversations about academic publishing

common challenges at our campuses, and potential pathways of collaboration


The conference is sponsored by the SUNY Conversations in the Disciplines Program. The intended audience includes faculty, students, librarians, instructional designers, and anyone with an interest in scholarly publishing.

Guidelines for Submission

Proposals are due Monday, February 2, 2015. Notifications will be sent by mid-February.

Proposals are being accepted for posters on any topic pertaining to scholarly publishing such as:

Developing Open Educational Resources (OER)
Publishing practices at your institution
Student involvement in Publishing
Publishing opportunities

A dedicated poster session will be held alongside lunch, providing participants with a chance to share their work and engage with their colleagues. Colleagues interested in presenting a poster are invited to submit a 200-word abstract describing the poster content. The presenter must accompany their posters to the conference and have them on display by noon, Friday, March 20.
