In this two-part workshop, Steiner and Landis will share details of how to assess, plan, and create internal documentation for your social media, so that your online presence will be easy to manage and on-target. They will also demonstrate ways to make the best use of your time, create social media content that matters to users, and identify the best practices used by leading libraries.

Sarah Steiner is the Social Work and Virtual Services Librarian at Georgia State University Library in Atlanta. For the past six years, she has been a leader in the library’s social media outreach, coordinating assessing, and regularly staffing the library’s chat and text-message reference service.

Cliff Landis is the Web Services Librarian at Georgia State University. He is also a researcher, author and speaker on the role of emerging technologies in libraries, social network sites, user-centered service, assessment, and the co-evolution of humanity and technology.
