SCRLC workshop

Greetings –

SCRLC is pleased to announce a new webinar, Staff Development in the
21st
Century, will be presented on Thursday, Dec. 6 from 2:00 – 4:30 pm EST
on a
computer near you. The subtitle for this webinar Equipping Staff for
New
Challenges while Retaining Core Competencies – All on a Shoestring
Budget!
says it all.  Thanks to partial funding by Federal Library Services
and
Technology Act (LSTA) funds awarded to the NYS Library by IMLS, this session
is only $10 for SCRLC or NY3Rs members, $15 for non-members and $25
for
groups.

The presentation will identify strategies to stretch
limited training
resources, prepare for the loss of long-term employees, and
create a culture
that promotes cross training and succession planning. This
session by Susan
Weinrich (VP, Organization and Community Development, New
York Council of
Nonprofits, Inc.) is designed for both new and experienced
supervisors and
managers. Complete details and registration information
appear at
