Subject Specialists and Collection Development

Collection development is one of the most rapidly changing areas in
libraries.  As patron-driven acquisitions, bundled e-book/journal
packages, and collaborative purchasing programs increase, do subject librarians continue to play an important role in collection development?  Is their
participation central or is their importance decreasing?  Join us for a
lively discussion on how collection development responsibilities may be
changing and what these changes mean for both librarians and library
users.  All registered conference attendees are welcome.
